According to studies done by the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture, the potato varieties of the highest quality are cultivated at over 3, 000 meters above sea level. It is here, in the heart of the Andes that our potatoes are organically grown and where Mashed Yellow Potato Villa Andina was born. It is an instant mashed potato made from the Yellow Tumbay variety, an indispensable ingredient in Peruvian gourmet cuisine.

Mashed Yellow Potato Villa Andina, compared to other products on the market, is totally natural (it does not contain preservatives or flavorings), is nutritive and has a delicious flavor and texture. As our product is made from Yellow Potato, unlike other brands on the market, our product has an exceptional good flavor, color and consistency.

Additionally, our potato supply is made under a Fair Trade agreement with Peruvian farmers, with which we help the development of small communities in the Andes.

A variation of the final product is available: the complete peeling operation done prior to dehydration can be reduced to a partial peeling, leaving approx. 40% of the peel on the potato, which improves the nutritional benefits of the final product given the high fiber content of the peel (apparent in the mashed potato as attractive brownish flecks).
